Electrician Journeyman (Tier 3)

About the role

Fluor is seeking a skilled Electrician Journeyman (Tier 3) to install, test, and repair grounding systems and related electrical infrastructure in accordance with codes and specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair grounding systems, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Plan and execute new or modified electrical installations, including conduit cutting, bending, threading, and wiring pull.
• Splice and connect wires to lighting fixtures, power equipment, switches, relays, and circuit‑breaker panels using hand and power tools.
• Test circuit continuity and equipment safety with instruments such as ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and buzzers.
• Observe installed systems for hazards, perform adjustments, repairs, or replacements as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum four (4) years of related electrical experience.
• Journeyman license or equivalent certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate level.

Required skills

• Grounding system installation and testing.
• Electrical conduit installation and wiring pull.
• Wire splicing and termination.
• Use of electrical testing equipment (ohmmeter, oscilloscope, buzzer).
• Installation of switches, relays, and circuit‑breaker panels.
• Connection of power cables to motors, HVAC units, and other equipment.
