Integrated Service Delivery Officer (WHO Somalia)

About the role

The WHO Country Office in Somalia supports the implementation of the Essential Package of Health Services (EPHS) through a primary health care approach. Reporting to the WHO Representative and UHC Team Lead, the officer provides technical and operational support to strengthen integrated health service delivery across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of innovative approaches for delivering EPHS.
• Contribute to the development of licensing, accreditation, supervision and quality assurance tools.
• Support capacity-building initiatives for health managers and service providers.
• Monitor and supervise EPHS implementation.
• Develop knowledge products and technical guidance materials.
• Establish and support an EPHS Community of Practice in Somalia.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine or equivalent (required).
• Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy or Health Systems Management (desirable).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in integrated health services, health systems strengthening or RMNCAH/nutrition programmes.
• Strong knowledge of EPHS implementation and health systems approaches.
• Fluent English (required).

Required skills

• Experience with digital health tools, health information systems and data visualization.
