Volunteer Resource Mobilization Officer (Remote)

About the role

Hello Debates is seeking a proactive Volunteer Resource Mobilization Officer to lead its fundraising and grant‑writing activities. Working remotely, you will help secure funding that sustains the organization’s civic‑engagement programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify funding opportunities from bilateral and multilateral donors, UN agencies, foundations, embassies and corporate partners.
• Draft high‑quality concept notes, grant proposals, Expressions of Interest and donor applications.
• Prepare project budgets, logical frameworks and supporting documents for funding submissions.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners and strategic stakeholders.
• Maintain a funding pipeline and ensure timely, competitive submissions.
• Monitor donor priorities and propose new funding avenues aligned with the organization’s mission.
• Collaborate with leadership to design innovative, fundable projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Public Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum three years of experience in resource mobilization, grant writing, fundraising or partnership development within NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies or donor‑funded projects.
• Proven track record of securing institutional funding through competitive proposals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
