Project Officer – Immunization (Dollow)

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Project Officer to lead and support the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) activities in the Dollow district and surrounding areas. The role focuses on improving routine and outreach vaccination services for children under five and eligible women, in partnership with health authorities and community stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support implementation of routine immunization and supplemental outreach activities in targeted districts (Baidoa, Burhakaba, Dinsoor, Dollow).
• Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, district health teams, health facility staff and implementing partners to ensure effective service delivery.
• Develop, update and monitor micro‑plans for fixed, outreach and mobile immunization sessions.
• Conduct supportive supervision visits to health facilities and outreach sites, assessing service quality and adherence to EPI standards.
• Oversee vaccine supply management and cold‑chain monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with national EPI policies, donor requirements and project targets.
• Collect, analyse and report immunization data, monitor key performance indicators and support evidence‑based decision‑making.

Required profile

• Experience in implementing immunization programs or similar public‑health projects.
• Familiarity with national EPI guidelines and donor reporting frameworks.
• Ability to work closely with health authorities, NGOs and community groups.
• Strong data collection, analysis and reporting skills.
