Communications and Visibility Intern

About the role

Nomad Innovation Lab is looking for a creative Communications and Visibility Intern to support its outreach initiatives in Somalia. The intern will help raise the profile of the RAAD EHR system and the Connect Somalia project through compelling content, social media activity, and visibility events.

Key responsibilities

• Produce social media posts, blog articles, and newsletter pieces that highlight the RAAD EHR system and its impact.
• Gather and document success stories from health workers and beneficiaries, including conducting interviews.
• Assist in designing promotional materials such as brochures, posters, and infographics.
• Manage and engage with the organization’s social media accounts.
• Support the communications strategy for the Connect Somalia initiative by creating content and coordinating documentation of activities.
• Help organize webinars, visibility events, and outreach activities related to Connect Somalia.
• Prepare reports and presentations for donors and stakeholders showcasing project progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or final‑year student in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
• Excellent written and oral English and Somali.
• Strong storytelling ability and experience with social media management.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
