About the role
The Communications & Visibility Officer (Junior) will support the EU‑funded Higher Education System Strengthening Project II in Somalia. Working within the core project team, the officer will help strengthen the capacity of the higher‑education system by ensuring effective communication, visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Implement donor communication and visibility guidelines, including EU standards.
- Produce newsletters, press releases, case studies and social‑media content.
- Manage digital media channels and create graphic‑design assets.
- Coordinate public events and outreach activities.
- Liaise with media outlets and project stakeholders to disseminate results.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience managing communications for development projects or organisations.
- Excellent written and verbal English; knowledge of Somali is an asset.
