Quality Assurance & Accreditation Specialist (Senior)

About the role

NTU International A/S is seeking a senior Quality Assurance & Accreditation Specialist to join the core team of the EU‑funded Higher Education System Strengthening Project II – Somalia. The role will be based in Mogadishu and will run for 36 months, starting 1 October 2026, focusing on strengthening the capacity of Somalia’s higher‑education system.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and roll‑out national quality‑assurance (QA) frameworks and accreditation standards for higher‑education institutions.
• Design and conduct institutional audits, self‑assessments and external evaluations.
• Train QA officers and support the establishment of QA units within universities.
• Provide technical guidance on international and African QA standards and accreditation bodies.
• Coordinate with project partners to ensure alignment with project objectives and EU reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in education, quality assurance, institutional management or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in higher‑education QA and accreditation, including national framework development.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Somali is a strong asset.

Required skills

• Formal training in quality‑assurance frameworks and accreditation standards.
• Familiarity with international and African QA standards and accreditation bodies.
